Location: Eagle County, Colorado
Time Commitment: This is a full-time year round position; work full time during programs: 55-65 hours during multi-day programs (attendance at overnights may be required – must be available during program hours including overnight programs.)
Overview: Ute Springs ELC is seeking motivated, fun loving leader to help facilitate our outdoor, adventure-based programs for youth 7-18 years old. The Program Director assumes overall leadership of logistics, including staff selection and management, as well as day-to-day operations. The Program Director also provides leadership and instructional supervision for staff, interacts daily with families and community members, and is truly the face of Ute Springs Experiential Learning Center in the communities we serve.

Youth Programs Facilitator
Location: Eagle County, Colorado
Time Commitment: This is a full-time seasonal position; 40+ hours per week. This person must be available Monday – Friday mid-April through mid-October, with overnights weekly.
Overview: Ute Springs ELC is seeking motivated, fun loving staff to help facilitate our outdoor, adventure-based programs for youth 7-18 years old. This position will provide facilitators with hands-on, field based experiences and learning opportunities. This position requires a six-month commitment helping to create community. As a Youth Programs Facilitator, you will work as a counselor in the summer camp program leading adventure-based day and multi-day trips. During the spring and fall, YPFs will work in-school and after school programs including several multi-day adventure trips.

Colorado Mountain College Fellowship
Location: Eagle County, Colorado
Time Commitment: 2 years starting June 2017
Overview: Full-time during the summer/part-time during the school year. This position requires a two-year commitment from Colorado Mountain College students enrolled in the Teacher Education Program who seek hands-on practical experience in the art and science of teaching outdoors. This position begins with full-time work facilitating Ute Springs summer camps and transitions into a part-time position during the school year. Students will help facilitate in-school, after-school and multi-day programs for K-12 youth in collaboration with Eagle County Schools.

CARING Volunteer: Ute Springs is now recruiting C.A.R.I.N.G. Crew team members to help us impart our mission of empowering social-emotional leadership through adventure-based experiences. Our core values of Compassion, Adventure, Relationships, Integrity, Nature, and Giving Back are integrally woven into each of our programs. If these values resonate with you, we would love your help weaving this fabric of community in our programming.
We are looking for parents, teachers and community members to help ensure the mission of Ute Springs Experiential Learning Center has a strong presence in ALL of our programs. We are looking for a year commitment from volunteers that includes an initial 2-day training, quarterly meetings and commitment to volunteer in programs (this could be weekly for after school programs or monthly with in-school programs). Hours may vary.

Training Dates: January 5 & 13, 2017 from 8:30 am- 4:30 pm at the Ute Springs offices in Eagle.
– Certification in 1st Aid/CPR (this is a requirement for all volunteers, with a supplemental fee of $20.)
– Background checks are required.
– We will be outside for portions of each training day so prepare accordingly.
Ute Springs Ambassadors & Event Volunteers: Ute Springs Ambassadors have the opportunity to help us showcase the great things happening in our programs and within our community. As an Ambassador/Event volunteer commitments may including: helping to staff a booth at one of the many upcoming community fairs/events, helping develop and create a fundraising event that supports Ute Springs, assisting with marketing for programs and/or events, and working closely with Ute Springs staff in spreading the word about who we are and what we do.
Ute Springs Program Volunteers:
School-Based Programs: Currently Ute Springs is offering five school-based programs that will continue throughout the 2016-2017 school year. Volunteering for a school program may include: taking part in our Afterschool Adventure Clubs at either Homestake Peak School or Red Hill Elementary School; taking a trip out to Mountain Valley Horse Rescue to volunteer for one of our upcoming enrichment days*; helping students 8-10 years old participate in the 4-H Horseless Horse program (a collaboration between 4-H, Ute Springs & Mountain Valley Horse Rescue)*; or spend some time at Sylvan Lake during one of our overnight adventures!
Summer Programs: Summer is right around the corner and as we gear up for another adventure filled year we are looking for volunteers to help us facilitate programs at our base camps. Summer volunteers will have the opportunity to share their outdoor skills, knowledge and interests with campers from 7-17 years old. Base Camp Volunteers help provide enriching activities for campers during their down times or help complete a service project that enriches the community as a whole!
* Indicates that volunteers MUST complete the Basic Horse Connector training in order to be eligible for these programs.
